Lost: I Do

Through Kate's flashbacks, we discover that she once called herself Monica and was married to a police officer who didn't know that she was a fugitive. Eventually she told him the truth, and then ran away. Back on the island, Locke plans to bury Eko. On Eko's prayer stick, he discovers a hidden message that may guide him through the next steps of his journey to unlocking the secrets of the island. Kate is told that she must convince Jack to perform Ben's surgery or Sawyer will be killed. After trying unsuccessfully to convince Jack, Kate breaks into Sawyer's cage and they make love. Afterwards, Jack sees them on the monitors and decides to do the surgery. While operating, Jack makes an incision that, he claims, will kill Ben in an hour unless Kate runs to safety and radios him that she is okay.
