Lost: Through the Looking Glass (Part 2)

Episode starts with Jack in a very dark time in his life - nearly committing suicide before coming to the aid of two car crash victims, stealing drugs, attending the funeral of someone he neither likes nor is related to, and making call after call to a mysterious someone. Back in the present, Jack leads everyone up toward the radio tower while Jin, Bernard, and Sayid are left behind to attack The Others. Charlie taken captive at the Looking Glass station by two women who work for Ben. He tells them that Juliet told him about the station. The two women call Ben, and tell him. Ben sends Mikhail down to the Looking Glass to "take care" of the situation. Meanwhile, the three men at the beach are only able to kill seven of The Others before they are captured. Sawyer and Juliet decide to try and help them. Kate wants to go, but neither Sawyer nor Jack will let her. When she asks Jack why he won't let her, he says "Because I love you." Afraid for his life, Bernard tells the Others everything; including the fact that Karl alerted them. Realizing Alex betrayed him; Ben decides to meet Jack at the radio tower, and takes Alex with him, to deliver her to her "new family." When they get there, Alex is introduced to her mother, Rousseau, for the first time. Ben threatens to kill the three captors if Jack doesn't give him Naomi's satellite phone. Ben says Naomi is not who she says she is and that the "rescuers" will actually come and kill everyone on the island. Jack doesn't believe him, and calls his bluff. Ben pretends to have the three men killed and Jack beats him up. On the beach, Hurley helps Sawyer and Juliet save the three captors by ramming the VW Bus through the Others in a surprise move and after being rejected in his offer to help them initially. Tom surrenders, but Sawyer shoots him anyway. Back underwater, Desmond wakes up to shots fired by Mikhail. Desmond swims down and finds Charlie captive, who tells him to hide. Mikhail swims down, and is ordered by Ben to kill everybody. He shoots the two women, but Desmond shoots him before he can kill Charlie. Charlie gets the code from one of the women before she dies, flips the switch and is suddenly face to face on screen with Penny Widmore. Charlie tells Penny that Desmond is with him, and Penny tells Charlie that Naomi was not on her team and doesn't know about the boat. Mikhail who miraculously survived Desmond's spear shot, has swum underwater and reveals himself outside the portal window to Charlie. He arms a grenade. Charlie, realizing what he must do, saves Desmond by sealing himself in the room, and lets himself drown, but not before letting Desmond know what Penny said. At the radio tower, they stop Rousseau's message and are about to use the satellite phone when Locke, who has been revived by Walt, stabs Naomi in the back. He seems willing to kill Jack to stop the call too but lets Jack make the call anyway, who contacts Naomi's people. In the end, we realize that the person Jack was trying desperately to call in his "flashback" was actually Kate. The flashback was actually a flash forward and they appear have escaped the island. It seems Kate doesn't want much to do with Jack, who is pleading her to go back.
