Lost: Tricia Tanaka is Dead

In flashback, we see Hurley as a child fixing a car when his father leaves for work in another state. This is the last time Hurley sees his father for seventeen years. We then see Hurley as a young man standing in front of a chicken restaurant that he just bought after winning the lottery, being interviewed by a reporter, when a meteor hits it and kills numerous people. He begins to believe that he is cursed since he won the lottery, and wants to go to Australia where he got the lottery numbers from. Hurley's father comes to town to try and help him but Hurley, upset with his father for abandoning him, won't listen and leaves for Australia. Back on the island, Sawyer and Kate have returned. Sawyer is happy to be there, but Kate immediately prepares to go back for Jack. Hurley has found a car in the woods and gets Jin, Sawyer and Charlie to help him. They find a dead and decayed man in a Dharma work uniform inside as well as a map and some beer. Hurley wants to get the car started so that he can break his curse and Charlie can beat death. They succeed in starting the car, and drive around happily. Meanwhile, Kate goes into the jungle in the dark. Sayid and Locke find her and want to help by using the compass bearing from Eko's stick. Someone shoots at them and appears. It’s Rousseau. Kate tells her that she needs her to help find The Others. Rousseau asks why she would be interested, and Kate says because a 16 year old girl helped her escape, and she is pretty sure that it is Rousseau’s daughter.
