Synopsis:
John Chivery proposes to Amy, but she's fallen for Arthur and turns him down. Arthur has no idea Amy has feelings for him. He focuses on starting up a partnership with Daniel Doyce for his new business venture. Rigaud finds Mrs. Clennam's secret papers. Amy goes with Fanny to visit Mrs. Merdle. Arthur proposes to Pet, but she decides to marry Henry Gowan. Mr. Meagles sends Arthur to find Tattycoram when she leaves.
