A moment of silence, please, for Lipstick Jungle. The NBC show is officially dunzo after months of rumors that it would not return for a third season. So much for all those tubes of lipstick sent to NBC headquarters!

Lipstick star Brooke Shields confirmed the news to E!, after previously telling the media there was still hope for the series back in December. It follows in the high-heeled footsteps of the similarly themed Cashmere Mafia, which got the ax after one season on ABC.

Meantime, there's still hope for that other low-rated but fan favorite on NBC, Friday Night Lights. A fourth- and fifth-season pickup are rumored to be imminent. Yes, please!
