Synopsis:
The murder of a struggling business woman is a case of mistaken identity as Detectives Briscoe and Green warn the intended victim, investigative reporter Kate Pierce. Kate's controversial writings lead to an investigation of a Senate election in which machines were tampered with and ballots were stolen, mismarked, and fraudulently certified. The prosecution's case hits a snag when Kate refuses to reveal her source to A.D.A.s McCoy and Carmichael. Season Finale.
