Synopsis:  A new version of the classic 1950s show following two cops on the beat in Los Angeles. Drawing on stories ripped from the headlines and the long history of crime in L.A, Detective Joe Friday and his young partner, Frank Smith, a former vice cop, explore the diversity of the city through the criminal element and the crimes they perpetrate.
