Pamela Sitt started writing about reality TV for The Seattle Times in 2003, when the genre really took off with Joe Millionaire. Since then, her taste in television has only gotten worse.

Kate Gosselin’s New Reality Show

Kate Gosselin started the new year as an unemployed single mother of 8 — but at least, she got new hair extensions.

Now she’s working on giving her career a makeover as well. The former star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 is reportedly in talks to star in a new reality show, minus the husband and kids. The show would air on TLC, the same network that aired Jon & Kate.

The new show’s premise, assuming the world still cares about Kate Gosselin (wrong), follows Kate as she tries on different jobs, such as working at a restaurant. Sounds kind of like The Simple Life: Interns — the season where Paris and Nicole failed miserably at working … pretty much everywhere.

The as-yet-untitled show is slated to premiere in late spring or early summer.
