Synopsis:
The story of Karol Wojtyla, a young Polish author and actor who, in 1939, was witness to his homeland's horrific invasion by the Nazis. Following his exit from Krakow, he became active in the resistance against the Nazis and turned his passionate beliefs towards entering the priesthood, leaving behind a woman who was in love with him. As he took on the religious authorities, led by Julian Kordek, his defiance helped ignite the people of Poland and started him on a journey towards one day becoming Pope John Paul II.
