The show must go on, but for now, it's on pause.
TLC announced today that Jon & Kate Plus 8 will go on hiatus this summer and return with new episodes Aug. 3. Not to worry, you can still catch up with the family's every move in the tabloids until then.
Presumably, the summer break will give the Gosselin family time to regroup from its recent troubles. On Monday's show, Jon and Kate announced their decision to separate after 10 years of marriage. The episode drew a record 10.6 million viewers, the most ever in Jon & Kate's five seasons on the air.
Next Monday's episode will be a clip show with some new footage. Only six of the 40 episodes slated for this season have aired so far.
