Our Top 10 Picks For New Villains On Heroes

Think Sylar is scary? He doesn't hold a candle to Paris Hilton.

Even former caregiver Peter Petrelli has a dark side, and we're going to see it this season on Heroes.

"We all have a dark side and we all have a light side," says Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Peter. "As good hearted as Peter is, and as well-intentioned, I think exploring that dark side is inevitable."

Last season, marred by the writers' strike, may be a blur. But you can check out all the action with this week's release of Heroes: Season 2 on DVD. Using the theme of extraordinary people trying to live normal lives, the second season didn't really come up with any compelling villains. Even Sylar's strength was sapped after being reduced to cockroach status the season before.

"Last season, choices and risks were taken because there was so much expectation put on us after the first season. We tried to go with bold choices that didn't connect with the audience," says Masi Oka, who plays time-traveling Hiro. "The writers' strike helped us because there was a chance to really analyze what happened that second season. Season three had been mapped out and it was scrapped for this new concept. We'll see the darker side of the heroes this season."

Oka says that being a hero is subjective.

"Being a hero or a villain is based on choices we make every day," Oka says. "This season, we see the dark side of everyone. And even villains can become heroes."

With Linderman apparently squashed in the first season and Noah Bennet, aka HRG, turning out to be a sympathetic dad to Claire, there weren't very many villains that made us rush to hide under the bed last season. Nightmare Man was more like a bad dream and even Elle -- the amoral human lightening rod -- didn't strike much fear.

But this season Heroes needs to up the ante if they are going to go with the villain subtext. So, we've come up with our Top 10 bad-guy-or-girl suggestions:

1.) Paris Hilton
She's short on brains but knows how to fan a flame. Just ask John McCain. Sizzlin' Paris could play a fire-starter burning to get at the heroes. Now that's hot.

2.) Spencer Pratt
This wormy weasel could slither into our heroes' lives. He's already known for his bad temper, as Olsen twin Mary-Kate revealed on David Letterman. You wouldn't like him when he's angry. Or even if he isn't. In fact, the babbling boy would make any hero's brain explode.

3.) Daniel Planview from There Will Be Blood
Has a milkshake ever been scarier than when Daniel verbally attacked his adopted son with the image of a long straw sucking the lifeblood from someone else? Drink it up, Peter.

4.) Michael Lohan
Lindsay's leech-like papa could take the place of former bad-dad Noah Bennett. Daddy Dearest Lohan has exploited his own troubled daughter since she was a toddler and he began earning her keep. Think of what he would do to Claire just to turn a buck.

5.) Madonna
She's one hot mama, and not afraid to do what it takes to stay in the game. Elle has nothing on the lightening bolts the Material Girl could shower if she thought she could land on the cover of those magazines closest to the supermarket checkout line. Just ask A-Rod's wife. The woman knows no boundaries.

6.) Shannen Doherty
Why waste this spawn of Satan on a remake of 90210? Nasty is her game, and she could slap down Sylar with just a cold stare. Don't mess with master.

7.) Gordon Ramsay
If you can't take the heat, then get out of Ramsay's kitchen. The culinary expert slices and dices with his wicked tongue. Peter, we don't know what you're up to this season, but we think that Ramsey might just break you by making you think you aren't the hero we think you are.

8.) Steve-O
Really what Heroes needs is a professional jackass. One that's not afraid to do stupid things in order to take down a hero. Falling off a building? No problem. We just don't want to see what you do with staples.

9.) Andy Dick
And you thought Sylar was insane? This joker put the "c" in crazy. He wore a superhero costume to high school one day proclaiming he was Super Dick. He still is.

10.) Criss Angel
This guy is seriously spooky. He can make a Lamborghini disappear, survive a steamroller going over him while he lies down in a bed of broken glass and can walk on water. He could probably take out a couple of heroes between dinner and his late show in Vegas.
