Synopsis:
Chef Ramsey introduces the third season of Hell's Kitchen and makes a tongue in cheek, half- hearted attempt to convince the audience that he will be nicer this season. The contestants are then introduced and are quickly instructed to make their signature dish. Ramsey tastes them all and declares Melissa's steak dish the winner. The contestants are then divided by gender into the Red (women) and Blue (men) Teams. They are then tasked to prepare traditional dishes for that night's dinner service. The evening is plagued by poor communication between the women and high emotions within the men's group. Julia is looked down upon by the Red Team for her job at the Waffle House and Tiffany has issues frying quail eggs. Aaron cries constantly and Vinnie uses water instead of chicken broth to make the risotto and is yelled at by Ramsey. Much to the contestants dismay, the kitchen is 'shut down' and no one is declared a winner. The Red Team is considered the worst team of the two and Tiffany is eliminated.
