Synopsis:
Dr. Nathaniel Grant is on track to become the new chief surgeon since his mentor, Chief Bart Jacobs, is ill. A teenage girl who needs a new heart is given one when a woman is fatally injured in a car accident. Afterwards, the grieving husband tries to meet the patient that received his wife's heart. Meanwhile, a grieving grandmother doesn't want her grandson's organs to be donated. Kate and Nate's daughter, Thea, gets into trouble when she is caught stealing condoms from a store.
