Synopsis:
When Blair's father, Harold, comes home for the holidays with an unexpected guest -- his boyfriend, Roman -- Blair finds it difficult to hide her disappointment and tries to break them up by inviting Roman's old boyfriend to their Christmas party. After Blair's dad explains that he and Roman bought a vineyard in France and he isn't coming home, he surprises her by asking her to spend the summer in France. Chuck texts Blair that Nate has joined him in Monaco, worrying Blair that Chuck may disclose the details of their hook-up. After Rufus finds out that Alison has been talking to her former lover, they discuss the possibility of divorcing, and Alison decides to go back to Hudson. Rufus calls Lily on Christmas morning with hopes of rekindling their relationship, unaware that her boyfriend Bart Bass has asked her to marry him. When Vanessa gets one of Dan's stories published in the New Yorker as a present, Serena labors to find a better present, and ends up asking Vanessa for help. Blair realizes that Vanessa is interested in Dan, and warns Vanessa to keep her distance.
