George Clooney Filming Scenes For ER Finale

Will he or won’t he? The latest Internet buzz has George Clooney returning to ER for its series finale.

Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Clooney is shooting scenes for the long-running show’s swan song today and tomorrow. Clooney became a national heartthrob while starring on ER as Dr. Doug Ross.

ER showrunner John Wells told TV critics last week that the door is open for Clooney’s return. “We’ve talked about it a couple of times,” he said. “You know, it’s George.”

Wells got some laughs in the room by describing the movie star as “very busy…and very handsome.” Indeed!

Meantime, Dr. Ross’ former love interest will be returning for the final episodes. Julianna Margulies’ rep confirmed today that Nurse Carol Hathway will be back!

ER‘s series finale is scheduled to air April 2 on NBC.
