Entourage is at a critical phase right now. Aside from concerns about tiredness that eventually face any show that's been around for a while, it no longer has much protection in the HBO Sunday lineup, and its 2007 season was widely considered a disappointment. The series seems to be heading down a promising road now, though. Whereas in the past Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) was a cocky up-and-comer, he's now having to deal with the sort of epic failure that can utterly destroy a career. And an actor who isn't working can't very well have an entourage.

Sunday's episode (HBO, 10 PM) finds Vincent still struggling with his loss of stature and trying to rebuild his reputation. He finds he no longer impresses a woman who used to worship him, and Ari (Jeremy Piven) lets Vincent know just how low his reputation has gotten. Meanwhile, Eric is attempting to interest the right people in a screenplay, and Drama learns that love via webcam has its downside (we've all been there, dude). Maybe the times are right for an examination of what fame feels like when it's on the verge of slipping away.

Gym Teacher: The Movie (Nickelodeon, tonight 8 PM): Christopher Meloni doesn't get to smile much on SVU, but there's a zany streak running through his career, as those who have seen Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle and Wet Hot American Summer know. Meloni plays an ex-Olympian with a bad reputation who sets out to win a teaching award, and the spot on the cereal box that goes with it. Amy Sedaris and Bruce Jenner also star.

The 2008 ALMA Awards (ABC, tonight 8 PM): The achievements of Latinos in arts and entertainment are saluted. Eva Longoria Parker hosts, and key winners (the show was taped four weeks ago) include Entertainer of the Year America Ferrera, Edward James Olmos, Shakira, and Linda Ronstadt, winner of the Trailblazer award.

Psych (USA, tonight 10 PM): Gus is taken hostage during a bank robbery, so Shawn does the obvious thing: he tries to get into the bank so he can take over negotiations with the police on behalf of the gunman.

Stargate Atlantis (SciFi, tonight 10 PM): Believing that there is a way to cure the Wraith of their need to eat humans, Teyla goes undercover as a Wraith queen. I dunno; I'm thinking that any alien race that treats humans as hors d'oeuvres will probably be smart enough to figure out that this new "queen" is bogus.

Coco Chanel (Lifetime, Saturday 8 PM): Shirley MacLaine stars in the story of the legendary goddess of French couture, who began life in an orphanage and eventually became the key figure in mid 20th century fashion. Barbara Bobulova plays the young Chanel, and Malcolm McDowell plays her key adviser.

College Football: Ohio State at Southern California (ABC, Saturday 8 PM): In the spirit of complete journalistic detachment, I'm here to say that the fifth-ranked Buckeyes, ambassadors of all that is good and right about America, travel to L.A. to meet the top-ranked Trojans, who have been known to push old ladies off sidewalks and blatantly ignore doctors' recommendations about sunscreen use.

Saturday Night Live (NBC, Saturday 11:30 PM): Michael Phelps hosts the season premiere of a show that's a lot older than he is. Sports figures have been hit-or-miss on SNL over the years, but one supposes that the night will be highlighted by commentary on the election. Lil' Wayne interrupts his 24-hour recording schedule to serve as musical guest.

Bridezillas (WE, Sunday 9 PM): Jennifer, who considers herself an amateur wedding planner, calls off her wedding, changes her mind, and then completely freaks on the wedding day; Vanessa snipes at her future in-laws and raises hell inside a nail salon.

I Love Money (VH1, Sunday 9 PM): The remaining players face a challenge that calls for them to cling to stripper poles, an activity that ought to bring back special memories for more than a few of them. The first out of the pole challenge is eliminated from the game on the spot, and a second elimination will come later.

True Blood (HBO, Sunday 9 PM): The first episode of this series didn't do much for me, and I'm not sure I buy Anna Paquin as a Louisiana waitress (not that I buy her in much of anything). This week, Bill has the chance to pay back Sookie for her efforts on his behalf in the pilot, and she in turn takes him home to meet the family.

Army Wives (Lifetime, Sunday 10 PM): Pamela's stalker graduates from harassing her to approaching her children; Denise and Frank have another relationship talk after their son departs. These two kids aren't gonna make it.

Mad Men (AMC, Sunday 10 PM): Don and Duck work together on a project that might have been a little bit out there in 1962: an overseas beer company. Also, Harry seeks help with his heavy workload, and the young priest asks Peggy to volunteer some time to a project of his.
