How Do The Housewives Look Five Years Older? We Got A Sneek Peak.

What does Wisteria Lane look like five years later? We've got the scoop.

Just watched a clip from the new season of Desperate Housewives, which flashes forward five years. So how do the women of Wisteria Lane look five years later? Pretty much the same.

Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) has turned into a frumpy mom who wears sweats and no makeup, but the other women haven't aged a bit. And as Housewives creator Marc Cherry points out: "It is really hard to make Eva Longoria look bad. We took off all her makeup and she looked like a 12-year-old."

Eva is onstage now rocking a Posh-style bob and VERY high heels. The women are all wearing stilettos -- Felicity Huffman's are bronze Christian Louboutins. I can see the red soles from here.

Now Eva's talking about Gaby's new look: "She's let herself go because Carlos is blind. She's had two kids and she's let go of the vanity for the past five years. ... I decided to cut my hair because I didn't want to wear a wig."

Eva says she loves her new look because "I come in to hair and makeup now, and it's 10 minutes instead of two hours." Not to worry, though: Cherry promises Gaby will be back to her glamorous self by mid-season.

Others tidbits from the new season: Lynette's kids have grown into juvenile delinquents, Bree appears to be some kind of Martha Stewart-type mogul, and Susan has a new love interest.

BTW: I love Marcia Cross, but her face is pretty severe in person. Her face is pulled a little too tight.

The new season of Desperate Housewives premieres Sept. 28.
