‘Cougar Town’ Is Getting a New Showrunner
Gretchen Alice May 17, 2012

Courtney Cox was chatting with Vulture when she let it slip that Bill Lawrence will not be the showrunner of Cougar Town for Season Four. Bill confirmed this via twitter, telling fans to “chill” and that “My wife is on the show – you think she’ll let me disappear? Please. Not like SCRUBS 9 (when had other show to run). Kev and I are in…” Kev refers to Kevin Biegel, the executive producer and co-creator of the show. With the show moving to TBS, this is a natural transition time. I might be worried if Bill and Kevin were leaving entirely, but with their love for the show, I’m positive they’ll make sure that Cougar Town stays in good hands. If anything, we should all be mourning the loss of Big Carl from Tuesday night’s “Fakesgiving” episode.
