Chris O’Dowd to Pen Weight-Loss Comedy

One of the breakout stars of Bridesmaids was Irish actor Chris O’Dowd, best known previously for his work in The IT Crowd. Deadline reports that the actor/writer will be penning a weight-loss comedy for NBC based on a friendship formed between a group of men who all meet at a weight loss clinic.
No word as of yet as to whether fellow IT Crowd star Richard Ayoade will appear in the show, which is crazy since that’s obviously the one truly important factor.
