Can of Worms

Fourteen-year-old Mike Pillsbury, who never feels that he "belongs," combats these feelings by spinning elaborate stories about imaginary aliens with whom he identifies. When a schoolmate humiliates him at the Halloween dance, Mike broadcasts a plea into space, begging aliens to come and take him away. He gets more that he bargains for when they actually show up. Not all the aliens are friendly, and now that Mike has opened a can of worms, he scrambles to enlist the help of his friends to help save the world.
