Bill's anxieties over his upcoming testimony in Joey's case are compounded by the presence of Rhonda, who threatens to blackmail Nicki into letting her stay with the Henricksons. Suspicious that Nicki and Bill orchestrated Rhonda's disappearance, Roman sends a couple of Juniper Creek police to the Henricksons' with a warrant, but Don helps ferry the girl to safety. Looking to provide long-term security for his family in the face of an uncertain future, Bill, along with Don and Eddie, meets with Carter Reese, owner of a polygamy-friendly slot-machine business. Ben and Brynn celebrate their three-month anniversary with Margene; Sarah tries to get Heather to go out to a non-date movie with Scott; Barb contemplates an offer from a child advocate; Lois looks to end Joey's persecution by putting a crazy idea into Wanda's head; and Margene invents a new confession to tell Pam.
