Big Brother 5: Week 1: Houseguests In; Jase HoH

The new houseguests enter the house in small groups to choose their rooms; the last group ends up sleeping in a sparse room with concrete slabs for beds. For the first Food Competition, each houseguest must climb around a giant spinning apparatus and grab yellow balls that correspond to different foods. Lori grabs one labeled "lobster," which host Julie Chen instructs her to open. Inside is a key to a chest with $10,000 that Lori may keep if she subjects the house to eating nothing but peanut butter and jelly for the week; if she declines, the offer will be extended to someone else. Lori accepts the offer, greatly angering everyone. Michael and Jennifer, having never met, speak about their families and realize that they have the same father. Jase wins the first Head of Household competition.
