Synopsis:
Host Julie Chen introduces the twelve new contestants who will occupy the Big Brother house and compete to be the last resident standing. The contestants learn that they will be divided into four groups, based on typical high school cliques. The "Athletes" group is Jeff (advertising salesman from Chicago), Russell (Mixed Martial Arts fighter), and Natalie (Tae Kwon Do champion). The "Popular" group comprises Laura (bikini model from Georgia), Jordan (waitress from the South), and Braden (surfer from California). The "Brains" are Ronnie (gamer), Michele (married neuroscientist), and Chima (freelance journalist). Finally, the "Offbeats" group includes Lydia (special effects makeup artist with many, many tattoos), Casey (40 year-old 5th grade teacher), and Kevin (bubbly designer). The first Head of Household (HoH) competition involves hanging on to a large wedgie contraption, with the goal being to hang on the longest. But this HoH competition had a brand new twist, as the winning clique receives a fourth member: A cast member from a previous season who immediately becomes HoH. The Athletes win the HoH competition and Jessie from Big Brother 10 joins the cast.
