Synopsis:
Kelly, Donna, Valerie and Clare try out for the Tournament of Roses Court so they can receive invitations to the event's ball. Colin wants to work on his mural rather than attend the ball but infuriates Kelly when he eventually shows up with Valerie. Steve joins an online dating chat room and falls for someone that he speaks with; when he meets the girl at the ball, it turns out to be Clare. Dylan starts to develop serious feelings for Antonia, and Susan kisses Brandon while they work on an article together about the Rose Court tryouts. David comes home to find that his mentally unstable mother has tried to commit suicide.
