Betty White Headed To NBC’s Community

Breakout NBC hit — that sounds weird, doesn’t it? — Community got snubbed by Emmy this year, but it seems the freshman series is bringing out the big guns for next season.
Betty “Ratings Gold” White has been lined up for the show’s second season premiere. She’ll play an esteemed, but slightly unhinged, anthropology professor at the community college where the show is set.
Community also stars Joel McHale and Chevy Chase in a stellar ensemble cast of misfits at a community college.
White was nominated for an Emmy last week for her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live. She also was credited with the unexpected ratings smash that is TV Land’s Hot In Cleveland. And of course, there was that Super Bowl commercial, and her role in 2009′s hit The Proposal, and …
