Most of the fleet has settled on a barren planet presumably undetectable by the Cylons. Battlestar Galactica runs with a skeleton crew. Admiral Adama is used to fighting a war, but now that time might be over. On the planet, dubbed New Caprica, life is hard, but manageable. Starbuck adjusts to married life; Tigh finally retires with his wife; Tyrol and Calley settle down to raise a family; and Baltar enjoys the fruits of his presidency. But just as the crew begin to adapt to their new lives, their mortal enemy returns.
