In an effort to retrieve a micropulse bomb, Rachel goes undercover in Brazil. Unbeknownst to her, Sark, who is also undercover, is after the same information. They end up having a one-night stand unaware of either's intentions. Sark gets the information first, and compromises the mission. Upon discovery of the whereabouts of the weapon, Jack and his former lover, an undercover MI6 agent, go to retrieve it but Sark's employers ambush the weapon exchange and capture them as well. The APO team must hire and work with Sark to help rescue Jack and his colleague.
