5. Running with Scissors $5.2m
This is kind of a sad little number for a fifth ranked film at the tail end of October but it's the number I've conjured. Based on my Flicka prediction last weekend, yes, you can assume it's out of thin air.
4. Flags of our Fathers $6.7m
Where do you stand on flag burning? No, totally kidding, we won't go down the political minefield during box office projections.
3. The Departed $9.1m
One thing I like about Hollywood (seriously) is that it's always a love fest. Did Jack like working with Leo? You betcha. Does Matt Damon admire Alec Baldwin? Of course. Everyone loves everyone, it's glossy and clean, a little bit different from the real world. Bitter, party of one?
2. The Prestige $9.4m
This is such an entertaining movie. I have one or two little issues but they are nothing compared to my overall enjoyment.
1. Saw III $25.3m
This is a surefire mortal lock and I'm grateful. It will open below Saw II because it has horrible buzz associated with it. Or it won't. Regardless, I'm back on top for picking number one.
