In Her Footsteps: a href=" http://www.rhapsody.com/pink">Pink
Although she's been a superstar practically from the get-go, Madonna managed for much of the 1980s to retain an air of hipster punk -- a starving artist's penchant for eccentricity and disdain for the mainstream that reached its apex with Who's That Girl? and was long gone by the time her Madgesty became BFFs with Gwynnie Paltrow. Similarly, Pink has always held onto a punkish scrappiness that belies her celebrity and always keeps us guessing about she might do next: mock her pop star peers, pour her guts out or just haul off and slug somebody.
