The Drama Queen isn't so much a Madonna persona as a way of summing up a woman who not only refuses to reveal her "real" "self," but has built an entire career out of perpetually reinventing herself in the most theatrically "artificial" ways she can come up with -- with a little help from some fabulous costumes, hair extensions, a religious conversion here, an adopted accent there and, of course, one great cone bra. It's too early to tell if Katy Perry's penchant for reinvention will be as prolific (and at times, it verges on the annoying), but the girl who kissed a girl has certainly taken a page or two from the queen of the drama queens when it comes to making a spectacle of herself.
