The 50 Best Movie Posters by Drew Struzan
Among the most iconic American artists of the 20th century, Drew Struzan is a masterful painter for whom movie posters just happened to serve as his ultimate canvas. Struzan's gifts as an artist were apparent from the first poster work he did for B-movies in the early 1970s, but it wasn't until a fellow airbrush wizard asked Struzan for help in creating the poster for the 1978 re-release of "Star Wars" that his name became synonymous with the most culturally formative blockbuster cinema of the last 40 years. An unlikely movie legend, Struzan is now the subject of a documentary by Erik Sharkey called "Drew: The Man Behind the Poster", which is now playing in theaters. In honor of the film, we've compiled a gallery of our 50 favorite Struzan posters, presented here in chronological order.
