Stone Cold Blue Note Classics

|Sonny Clark, Cool Struttin'
Clark's lean, always tasty piano-playing may've been a big influence on good-time hard bop and soul jazz, but it always offered rewards in and of itself. This album is widely considered his best release, and he's joined by Miles Davis's rhythm section, along with Art Farmer (trumpet) and Jackie McLean (alto sax). Captures a band in perfect sync; great cover, too.
