Murder City Devils: In Tour and Blood
Comments |
|"Touring with the Yo-Yo's gave me a lifetime's worth of stories, and almost all of them end with blood, vomit or tears. They play[ed] 'Sunshine Girl' every night, and every night Danny [McCormack] would fall apart and throw his bass across the room, barely able to carry on with the show because [the song] was about his ex-girlfriend. One time in New Orleans, Danny came barging into the backstage room totally nude screaming about some guy who had ripped him off. He and their tour manager threw the guy down the stairs. Eventually we asked Danny why he didn't have any clothes on and he told us, 'You can't fight if you can't fight naked.'"
