Nine-year-old Yuki learns that her parents are separating. Her father is French and her mother Japanese. She will have to go with her mother to Japan, leaving Paris and her best friend Nina behind. Together, the two girls try to come up with a way to bring about a reconciliation between the parents. However, the only solution seems to be running away and their destination is the forest.
