In a small village somewhere on Majorca, Hans, a German odd jobs man, reports for work for an affluent fellow countryman. His predecessor's name was also Hans. An indefinable atmosphere seems to cling to his memory. When the new, vulnerable Hans finds this out, he becomes entangled in a web filled with intangible fake truths. Soon after his arrival, a number of certainties start shifting and Hans feels guilty for something he didn’t do. When he tries to exonerate himself, he comes closer and closer to the truth, but paradoxically enough he becomes further and further removed from his own identity.
