Several months spent with women of the Medina, the ancient quarter of the city of Casablanca. The women talk candidly about the realities of their lives, about their husbands, about the young men contemplating travelling to Europe for uncertain refuge in European cities and about women's rights as they march on the International Women's Day in Rabat. The film is a portrait of a very intelligent group of women who continue to fight against poverty and the pseudo-modernity which continue to affect the majority of women in poor countries.
