Winter Oranges (2000)

Ryuki has lived his entire life in a small fishing village and dreams of leaving to become an actor in Tokyo. But every night the ferries come and go while he merely sits and watches, until a chance meeting with a mainland journalist and her friend allows Ryuki to hope and, possibly, to leave.
