Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." This 1922 classic of cinema based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (but with names changed) directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schrek in one of films most famous and frightening make-up jobs.
In the ninth lunar month, a breeze sweeps the streets of Hsinchu, a small town west of Taipei. It murmurs of change, shaking the foliage of an old tree under whose branches a group of adolescents boys meet. Headed by the charismatic, heartthrob Yen, the high-school boys gather to read comics, talk about girls, and generally strengthen their already solid collective male bond.Recording the months preceding the boys' graduation in 1997, we witness the first Taiwanese game-fixing baseball scandal of those years as a metaphor for the boys' loss of innocence.
