Lena is a shamanic healer in a Mexican village who's been barred from exploring her "powers" by her contentious mother--who asserts that her own child was born under a "dark and dangerous sign." Finally, following their last blow-out, Lena sets off to squat in a run-down rural area where her hippy-ish, outcast neighbors allow the young woman to set up her own healing practice.
