The adventures of a baby elephant named Whispers who is separated from his mother. He searches desperately for her but instead, finds the sassy and fiercely independent Groove, an outcast from her own herd and the last elephant in the world to ever be a substitute mom. Unfortunately for Groove, Whispers takes hold of her tail and refuses to let go and the two join to make an unlikely family. Through their bickering, singing, laughing and crying they brave the hidden dangers of the dark forest and make their way toward the Great River, a rumored paradise for elephants.
