Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." This 1922 classic of cinema based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (but with names changed) directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schrek in one of films most famous and frightening make-up jobs.
Vera is a beautiful, capricious young woman exploring the limits of her sexual and intellectual power. She picks up men on the street, videotapes her romps with a female lover, and has sexually frank discussions with her potential employer. The daughter of wealthy, indulgent parents, she seems to be improvising her way through her life. Vera's boyfriend is a fast-talking hustler named Ford. Prepared to do anything to make a buck, Ford sees his chance to make big money when he meets aging Italian media mogul Count Tommaso. He cooks up an idea to pimp Vera out to the Count for $100,000--if only he can talk Vera into it. Incredibly she agrees--but Vera is gravely underestimated when she reveals plans of her own.
