In 1990, at the age of 31, Veronica Guerin abandoned an unsuccessful career in public relations and took up journalism. In the following six years she became Dublin's most celebrated investigative reporter through a series of articles exposing the drug barons of the city's underworld. On June 26, 1996, she was shot dead in her car by an unknown assasin. This particular account gives a fictionalized chronicle of Veronica Guerin's brief, but spectacular journalistic career.
