We are in the seediest neighborhood in Yokahama, full of migrant workers and soon to be the site of the biggest Triad turf war ever. The local gumshoe is Maiku "Mike" Hama, who operates his detective business out of the second floor of a movie theater. One day Mike visits the local mahjong palace and ends up breaking up a fight between a young Taiwanese waiter and some yakuza punks. The waiter, Hai Ting, and Mike become fast friends and Mike agrees to help Hai Ting find his lost brother. As he begins his search, Mike becomes embroiled in the flash-fire violence and shifting loyalties of gangland Japan.
