Alexei is a Russian journalist investigating a racket trafficking in women in Rotterdam. Russian women are being taken to the Netherlands and forced into prostitution, stuck with no passports. While Alexei is getting nowhere, even feeling threatened in Rotterdam, his young son Pavel is in St Petersburg, worrying. Time seems to move very quickly to Pavel, while for Alexei it is standing still.
