Eric spends his time with a circle of junkies, financing his habit through petty theft, until one day he gets arrested for possession. Hoping to avoid a prison sentence, Eric is sent to a rehabilitation center where, through the help of his roomate, he rediscovers his love for writing and his desire to become a novelist.
