Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
Hugo Martial is a veteran Parisian actor looking for a comeback. His agent signs on Hugo's ex-wife and stage partner, the now-obese Gigi Ortega. The two hate each other, and have been fed all sorts of lies by the agent to make this new collaboration possible. But during rehearsals, these lies all come unraveled and the two return to fully-fledged mutual contempt. But the atmosphere makes for great theatre, and when the pair unexpectedly fall back in love, their performances go downhill fast. The agent must make them hate each other all over again to save the show.
