Juvenal is an innocent young man who has the rare -- possibly miraculous -- ability to heal people with his hands. When his healing touch comes to public attention, he is sought out by an assortment of characters who stand to gain from his gift, including a zany religious zealot and an opportunistic con man. As his fame grows, Juvenal becomes embroiled in a romance with a much more worldly woman and finds himself at the center of a growing media circus.
