Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
As an actress who teaches aerobics at an LA health club, Bridgette initially resists the romantic overtures of Adam, the guy who runs the gym which is owned by his father. Her life seems to be going well when she decides to give in to Adam while also being cast in a David Mamet play. However, a former lover who is dying of AIDS casts a cloud as she agonizes over the need to be tested. Believing Adam is involved with another woman, she goes through the week-long wait for her result alone only to find out she is positive.
