Venture back to 1971, when sci-fi meant shaved heads, jumpsuits and a dystopian future. George Lucas' first film was long known for low-budget effects, cool sound -- and utter dullness. Now, he's added loads of new special effects, and while none are as ill-advised as Greedo shooting first, they don't add any juice to this ponderous period piece.
