Two parrallel story lines reflect in each other as in present day Argentina, an affair blossoms between a terminally ill married Spanish woman, Vera, and a young man she meets in the hospital. In the same city in the 1930's, a photographer documents a menage a trois involving the woman he loves - the photographs of which will be discovered by Vera in the present.
